This dissertation aims to make known some themes related to the eschatological theology present in the works of Clive Staples Lewis. In this sense, the exposed themes are the virtue of Hope; the lewisian concept of Transposition, which describes the relationship between natural and supernatural realities; the gifts and qualities to which Creation is raised in the glory of Heaven. The monograph also exhibits a biography of the author and highlights his literary, philosophical and theological influences. Therefore, we intend to show the importance of Lewis's thinking in the context of eschatological anthropology.

a presente dissertação tem como objectivo dar a conhecer alguns temas relacionados com a teologia escatológica presente nas obras de Clive Staples Lewis. Neste sentido são expostos os temas da virtude da Esperança; o conceito lewisiano de Transposição, que descreve a relação entre as realidades naturais e as sobrenaturais; os dotes e qualidades aos quais a Criação é elevada na glória do Céu. A monografia expõe ainda uma biografia do autor e põe em relevo as suas influências literárias, filosóficas e teológicas. Desta forma, pretendemos mostrar a importância do pensamento de Lewis no contexto da antropologia escatológica.

Não sendo inédito um jesuíta desenhar, o trabalho de Nuno Branco, arquiteto e padre jesuíta que o faz desde sempre com desenhos de observação, tem um foco temático desde 2014. Irá apresentar-se os desenhos realizados durante três dias na zona de Ourém levantado-se o véu sobre como o trabalho artístico a partir de textos bíblicos e outros, pode ir mais longe do que a ilustração, não ficando à superfície do seu significado, mas procurando um conteúdo mais denso, pisando territórios inexplorados e relacionando-os com o quotidiano.

It’s not unprecedented having a draughtsman Jesuit priest and this article will present the work of Nuno Branco, architect, and Jesuit, on-location sketcher since ever but with a thematic focus since 2014. Branco’s work made during three days in Ourém region will help reveal how the artistic process based in texts (biblical and others) can go further than illustration, going deeper in its meaning, trying to link daily and on location drawing with new and unexplored territories.

The inner mountain is an expression of Athanasius of Alexandria - 4th century - concerning St. Anthony and his ascetic life. Although the specific religious context it frames is an apparent ambiguity (mountain grandeur vs. human being's interior), it can broaden artistic reflection around the solitary act of drawing. With this common ground, an observation drawing exercise based on the intersection of biblical texts addressing the mountain theme with some works by Peter Markgraf, Paul Cézanne and Leonardo da Vinci was created and developed. A mountain that inspires the mystics and attracts the artists is therefore explored in drawing through using a travel sketchbook while trying to capture the revealing territory (by the longest view it can reach), the pure sense (by the air it offers) and the smashing feeling (by the scale). In this case The inner mountain is located in Limone sul Garda, northern Italy, where all the author's drawings were made.

O presente artigo mostra o trabalho desenvolvido na cidade de Florença tendo como pontos de partida a narrativa bíblica do lava-pés e o sentido etimológico da palavra escrúpulos. Será apresentado um enquadramento sobre estes pressupostos, no sentido de levantar questões que abram possibilidades para o processo criativo em geral e, neste caso específico, para o exercício do desenho. Da passagem bíblica será incontornável referir o tema da viagem, o momento específico em que o episódio acontece e consequente exploração do seu significado. Da palavra escrúpulos, apresenta-se a sua etimologia e como ela aponta em direções opostas. Desta articulação nasce uma proposta de trabalho em desenho que procura alterar o modo de olhar e desenhar o quotidiano como contraponto à habitual abordagem aos temas bíblicos, onde as obras artísticas são uma imagem literal do texto, sendo raros os exemplos que foram além da superfície do seu significado. Todos os desenhos foram realizados num caderno de viagem.

The current article will present the work developed in Florence, based in the biblical episode of the washing feet, and the etymologic meaning of the word scruples. A background about those two assumptions will be presented in order to raise questions that bring new options to the creative process in general, and for drawing practice in particular. From the bible quotation, it will be impossible not to refer to the journey topic, the historical moment where the content happened and exploitation of the whole meaning. Regarding the word scruples, its etymology concerns two different directions. Linking both allowed us to develop a drawing work program. It tried to change the way of seeing and drawing the daily life as a counterpoint to the usual approach to biblical themes in which the artistic works are a literal image of the text. The examples seldom went beyond the superficial of their meaning. All drawings were made in a travel sketchbook.

In 1540, Jorge Coelho published, among other works, a Latin translation of Lucian’s De Dea Syria. However, the recent discovery of a manuscript at Biblioteca Pública de Évora containing a previous version of the same translation revealed some significant changes which reflect not only his
development as a translator, but also an attempt to redress the perception of Lucian and to deprive him of his satirical image. Despite the doubts surrounding the original authorship of this treatise, first raised in 1615, this version is of crucial significance when studying the transmission and reception of the sophist in Portugal, not only because it is one of the few versions of a Greek author directly rendered from the original, but also due to the fact that it accompanies the political and social changes during the first half of the sixteenth century and reflects the changing attitudes towards one of the most diverse writers of the Ancient Greek world.

Resumé: La pastorale et la méthode catéchétique elle-même sont aujourd'hui un défi pour les communautés ecclésiales et pour l'Église universelle. Dans le passé, les modèles de la catéchèse ont été transformés et adaptés à la réalité sociale et ecclésiale, mais la situation actuelle, à laquelle nous sommes confrontés, se présente comme un défi aux propositions existantes. Cette étude ne prétend pas présenter des « solutions magiques » pour les difficultés pastorales et les préoccupations de l'Église d'aujourd'hui, mais plutôt chercher à montrer différentes chemins, pour une catéchèse qui puisse établir une relation étroite entre la réalité actuelle, la pédagogie divine narré dans l'Ecriture (incarnée en Jésus-Christ) et l'identité chrétienne, toujours en découverte. This article aims at analysing silence as language or manifestation of the unutterable, taking L. Wittgenstein's Tractatus Logicus-Philosophicus and the Holly Scriptures as a starting point. This article defends that silence is not an 'omission' or 'mute' , being, many times, the only way of expressing what, in wittgensteinian terms, cannot be said but shown. Some examples can be found in biblical texts, where silence emerges as a challenger and creator. The importance of the word in biblical tradition is undeniable. It is, simultaneously, a means of communication and person-particularly, the person of Jesus Christ. The idea defended in this article is that word and silence are biblically equitable, because both transmit, reveal and contain a performative character. I will exemplify the idea through the AKA culture of the pygmies in the Central African Republic, where silence has a similar role to the word in the Portuguese culture. If in Portugal you have to be a 'man of your word' in the AKA culture you have do be a 'man of silence' .

Introdução Se existe algo que carateriza o Professor Manuel Costa Santos, e o distingue de outros teólogos do nosso tempo, é a sua capacidade de, a partir da contemporaneidade, encontrar Deus e falar de Deus. Nesta mesma linha, e em tom de homenagem a este grande pensador e ami-go, ouso rasgar os traços de secularização propostos pelo mundo em que vivemos, vislumbrando os traços de um Ressuscitado que continua a dar que falar e a provocar reações em crentes e não-crentes. De facto, a «secularização» como traço constitutivo de uma experiência religiosa autêntica […] significa exatamente, e antes de mais, relação de prove-niência de um núcleo sagrado do qual nos afastamos e que, todavia, permanece ativo mesmo na sua versão «decaída», distorcida, reduzida a termos puramente mundanos. 1 Precisamente, por isso, a busca do religioso e, particularmente, a procura de entrar no Mistério da Ressurreição continua a ser um ele-mento presente nos diferentes âmbitos da nossa sociedade. Seja atra-vés de uma abordagem mais biblista ou doutrinal, seja através de uma visão mais «secularizada» 2 , falar de Ressurreição no nosso tempo é abrir-se a uma reflexão concreta, que não se compagina nem asseme-lha (como se poderia pensar) com ideias mitológico-abstracionistas. 1 G.
